One day I received a call from an investor in Sapulpa, OK who had seen an ad I had placed on Craigslist. He had recently purchased a house that he planned on flipping and wanted quotes on rehabbing what sounded like just about everything. I drove right over to walk through the property. After receiving my bids, the investor gave me the green light and the work began. I had been particularly excited about working on the house because apart from an owner finance fix up of my own, it was the single biggest project I had taken on up to that point. By the time the dust settled, I had personally demoed and installed; all new windows and doors throughout the house including trim, new front and back decks, sheetrock repair/install in every room, new tile in three rooms, crown molding in two rooms, and created a new closet and laundry room from framing to finish. I also met some great people on the job site who fortunately, weren’t camera shy. Making the often-snowy drive, combined with a steady supply of hot chocolate and wild cherry Pepsi from the nearby mom and pop gas station was a great memory from that winter in Sapulpa, OK.
